Because of RSV/Flu season, kids were not allowed in the hospital when we had Kate. However, they do allow siblings to come visit their new siblings for 1 hour, 1 time. And they make it a birthday party. Happy Birthday Kate.
When Sam first walked into the hospital room he wanted nothing to do with his mom or his new sister. I think he was scared of all the wires and weird things and big bed. It took him a while to warm up to the idea of being there. Once we gave him his cake and ice cream he was good to go. We got him to give Kate a few kisses but he still didn't really like her that much.

Sam is warming up a little bit to Kate. He says "baby" a lot and he is ever curious to where she is and what she is doing. He will pat her head every once in a while and he also throws things at her. He gets upset when we are holding her and not him. He will get used to it and he will love his baby sister. We love them both!
